Are there generally a lot of Math pre-requisites to introductory engineering courses?

I'm about to finish up my degree but I'm becoming more and more convinced that after graduating and becoming financially stable (to some degree or another), that I would like to slowly learn about mechanical engineering. Ya know, just taking one or two classes at a time; no rush. I understand that a lot of math is involved, but is it different from math classes? And then of course there is my original question too
