What should I do while waiting for nursing school acceptance?

I have gone to a university for 3 years studying Microbiology, then this past year I enrolled at a community college because I really realized that I do not want to be a Microbiologist and work in a lab and that my true passion is in healthcare, and I want to go to nursing school. So I've finished taking some of the pre-requisites and now just applied for nursing school for this upcoming fall.... and got denied almost all of the schools I applied and got wait listed on another. If I get denied this last school I have absolutely no idea what to do next?! I do not know what to study in the mean time or what if I don't get in to nursing school ever? I'm panicking about it. Any ideas? I am already 22 years old and yes it's young but I just want to get on with my life.
