Could I do well and go to medical school?

I'm an A student in biology and a decent/pretty good student in Chem and Physics. Not amazing but good. Solid marks in both. Both in the 80's. I do like Biology more and if I had to major in the sciences I would probably major in Bio or Kinesiology. I'm definitely better at classes like History and English. Those come naturally to me and I really enjoy them. Every year except this year, I've gotten very high marks in English. My teacher is terrible this year and really shouldn't be teaching. At university I plan to study in the Arts or Commerce because I find them interesting. I plan to take the pre requisites for medical school and hopefully follow the steps and get admitted. I understand it's competitive but I'm willing to try my hardest. Would I be able to get into medical school with a degree in history and then go to medical school if I complete the pre requisites? Would a degree in history be frowned upon? Am I even smart enough to go to medical school?
