If i have a midwifery degree can i train to be a primary school teacher?

Can I use my honours degree in midwifery towards training to be an early years primary school teacher? I am wondering if this degree will count towards being one. I know you have to do a year of teacher training to qualify, but the pre-requisite for this seems to be an honour degree. I am hoping my midwifery degree would mean I could do this as primary school teaching is something I would now love to do. Will I need to do another degree instead? Cheers
