Why can i learn a song in a week on a flute, but not a guitar?

Instead of memorizing scales and chords, look up tabs. Memorize the chords on the tab, memorize the song, and voila, you learned to play a song. Learn the chords by learning the song. Guitar self learning is hard, but pull through and you'll be a great player!
